Travel brochure beads

Yesterday I visited a local travel agents to get a couple of brochures.....sadly NOT for a hol. I wanted the thick glossy paper for making beads. I've just spent a few hours making some. About 5 so far and I love them. So big and chunky. I've just varnished them and will re coat them tomorrow when they have dried properly.

Who doesn't need a mini notebook...??

I also make Miniature Note books for keyrings.
They are fun to do, Cute to have and very functional..

Book Folding.

I have been inspired by Book Folding. Its a way of using old damaged books, preferably Hard backed books. You fold the pages down to show a pattern at the edge.
My first attempt was my name as I rarely find DIANNE spelled correctly. Only normally 1 N.

Earrings and Brooches

Its almost finished.

I have recently made a corner of my spare room into a Craft room. I have ALWAYS wanted to do this. It is wonderful to be able to leave work in progress where it is and walk away. I used to have to finish something and pack all the bits away to leave the room tidy. Not good.
I can now just pop in when I have a few minutes to have a play around with ideas I find on Pinterest.

Its not perfect, but its MINE and I love it. 

My new craft room

I have decided to use our Spare room/Dump room for a Craft room for me.....yay. Can't wait to get it up and sorted
I need to get rid of 2 large chairs first and they are being collected next Monday, so then I can see the room thats left and to bring in the old dining table and buy a new sideboard for storage.

I have bought yesterday a set of 4 plastic boxes in a frame and on wheels, which is now pretty much full.

I've been saving old Soup tins and covered them with pretty paper to make containers for my pens and pencils.
